4DWN, located in Dallas, Texas is a 501c3 non-profit that focuses on helping the Southern Dallas area by providing a constant and safe space to get fresh food, a safe community area for free events, a place for the sustainable gardening. This project was two fold. 1) Create an app for new volunteers that allows for signup into the 4DWN database, allow new volunteers to choose availability times for on-call requests or scheduled events and to get real time updates from the Volunteer Captain and the 4DWN Volunteer Director. 2) Create a web based admin page for the 4DWN staff that shows an active database of new volunteers and current volunteers, show each day's volunteering event and coordinate with 4DWN's local partners.
